Saowa Photos (the “App”) is designed to work primarily on-device. This Privacy Policy explains what the App accesses, what it stores, and what it shares.

Data the App may access (with your permission)

Photos / Videos (read & write): to review, clean up, organize, and share media you select.
Camera: used only for QR scanning (e.g., pairing / sharing).
Local network: used for device-to-device sharing on the same Wi-Fi network.
Immich connection details: an Immich server URL and API key can be added by you to enable optional syncing/backup features.

What the App stores

By default, Saowa Photos stores data on your device only, such as:

Review decisions (e.g., keep/delete flags)
Share history / share pack metadata
Trusted devices / pairing information
Immich API key (stored securely)

Saowa Photos does not upload your photos/videos to Saowa servers by default. Saowa Photos does not create a cloud account for you by default, and it does not run its own cloud server unless you choose to connect to a third-party server (like Immich) or configure external targets (FTP/SMB).

What the App shares

App-to-app sharing: uses local Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth (device-to-device).
Browser guest share: uses a local web server hosted on your device, intended for guests on the same Wi-Fi network.

Saowa Photos does not sell your personal information.

Security

The Immich API key is stored in the iOS Keychain.
HTTPS is recommended for server connections.
HTTP may be allowed only when connecting to local networks (for example, a server on your home LAN).

Data retention

Your on-device data remains on your device until:

you delete the App, or
you clear data/settings inside the App (if available).

Third-party services

If you connect Saowa Photos to Immich, FTP, or SMB, those services are provided by third parties (or your own server). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies and configuration.
